All these people are saying shit about SSRI'S and antidepressants. If it wasn't for zoloft i wouldn;t be who i am today and wouldn't have the social life i currently have. I went from having daily debilating panic attacks, to the point i couldn't attend school, to hanging out with my friends/girlfriends every weekend and enjoying myself. Yes antidepressants are overprescriped for people who truly don't need them, but don't say they are bad. They helped me enormously. Coming from a 16 yo male.

Like someone said, there are no such things as "side-effects." That's a marketing fast-talk to give the illusion they are tangential, or trivial. There are only *effects*. Most "meds" that say they acts on X condition, and have a list of 20 "side-effects," have in reality 21 possible *effects* on the person, with some probability that the (maybe) beneficial one will be the more prominent. Most of it is just modern-day pharmakeia.

@SuperDelta000 Stick with it, you will recover, I did. Eat healthy, drink clean water, meditate and get in touch with yourself. They can throw off your chemistry, but they cannot prevent your body from coming back into balance. Once you return to yourself your balance and your center you will see that you are ALREADY perfection.
