@sfaidley NO i am correct in what i said. THer is a difference between somebody who has a brain that is physically not well and a person with a problem that is just caused by the way they are thinking. Many people are wrongly labled mentally ill. THe only ture conditions are when peoples brain is physically not well

Obviously it had to be staged to make a video. I have good days and bad days! We DO have happy days along with bad days.

Sorry Charlie, you have it ALL wrong. I was what we call normal for 50 years. I have no idea what triggered my current condition.I used tell my brother in law to buck up. Now I KNOW you can NOT switch off bad feelings, anxiety, depression, etc!!! Honestly you will never understand until you have been there!

It brought tears to my eyes! I agree, my ins. will only pay for the quacks! I have to to pay out of my own pocket to see at least a medium Doc! Then he keeps pushing the same med, Tegretol! I have no idea what starts me going down hill, but it is real! Why is America spending a penny on foreign countries or animals when we have so many people suffering here? 1 in 6? That sounds like an Epidemic to me!!! I was good until almost 50. I blame the way our government has taken us down the shitter!!!

Some people feel it is impossible to define a mental illness by symptoms as they are conditions we all face at some point and nobody can get inside another persons head and no how they feel. It's just the way things are im affraid and we have to accept that their is little that can be done about the brain you were born with. Its all down to genetics. The only time it can really be proven is when a persons brain is not healthy which can be shown by using scans im guessing

I have severe OCD, Bipolar disorder and Aspergers syndrome. I've been made fun of most of my life especially in the workplace where my medical records were released for public knowledge.
I've been assaulted in hospital because there's no funding for security or for staffing so the doctors are rare and the nurses often overworked and bitter.
I have a specialist pre-med degree I'm not stupid I love learning and desperately want to finish my masters degree.
If you think your life is hard livin

@autismpete I'm sorry you had a hard time with her, but that's not everyone. People with mental health don't always act that way... they can be fun, energetic, creative, and people you want to hang out with.
Half the comments here are people telling us their story, what mental health disorder they have, and how much they've struggled. This video is for the people that want to make a change. It's difficult to live with.
I'm not trying to attack, I'm just stating my point of view. :)

Oh goodness, with some of the paperwork the system gives you you'd need a larger space for text on those shirts xDD Ahh well. Such is life. Personally, I'd prefer to see some of the mental illnesses with even stronger stigma represented in this PSA like Dissociative Identity disorder or anti-social personality or BPD. Jussayin', those have hardcore stigma. forizzle.
